Water levels are at historic lows at Rancho Madrono as our part of Texas continues to be impacted by a very long and severe drought.
Significant changes in water levels have already been observed in the Pipe Creek area and have created dry or low water level areas in the two miles of Pipe Creek that form part of our beautiful ranch. Average creek levels will depend on a balance between precipitation, runoff, evaporation, and outflow
We still have a swimming hole at the ranch for you to enjoy swimming and fishing in our spring fed creek.
Activities like fishing and canoeing are also available under a beautiful bluff from which a dock provides our guests access to fish or launch kayaks or canoes.
We are praying for significant rainfall to relieve our beautiful nature preserve nestled in the Texas Hill Country.

Choose from a spacious, 3 bedroom home with an in-ground pool, the Main Lodge. Spend time in a charming 2 bedroom ranch home, the Cottonwood Lodge. Or choose our lodge on the water, the Creek Lodge.
We had our family reunion here and everyone had a fantastic time. The homes were beautiful and perfect for my large family. The pool was full of grandkids all day, the fishing, kayaking, and hiking (yes we hiked in 100+ degree temps ?) was awesome. The Ranch manager was wonderful, very courteous and took great care of all our needs. We will definitely look into spending time here again.
