There is no shortage of activities and things to do at Rancho Madroño if you love the outdoors! With more than 400 acres to explore and two miles of Pipe Creek to fish, swim, kayak, and paddle board, Rancho Madroño is the perfect Hill Country Getaway. Just an hour from San Antonio.
Pipe Creek meanders through the hidden valley on the ranch. This spring fed creek is beautiful and wonderful for fishing and swimming. However, during drought years or during times of seasonal lows, the creek will not always be flowing above ground and will, therefore, be dry or at a lower water level in some areas. However, with 2 miles of Pipe Creek on the property, there are still spring-fed swimming holes and deep holes with bass, perch, and catfish to fish off the creek banks or on kayak. Please check with our ranch manager for current creek conditions.
Fishing Pipe Creek
At Rancho Madroño, you’ll enjoy 2 miles of private access to Pipe Creek. Fish year round for largemouth bass, perch, bluegills, and channel catfish. Catch and release only.
Sporting Clays
Practice shooting on the ranch with sporting clays. Get ready for a dove shoot or just shoot for fun or practice.
Hiking
With more than 400 acres, there is plenty of places to explore at Rancho Madroño. Hike the hills and along the creek or take in a Texas Hill Country sunset.
