Response to Covid-19
The health, safety, and well-being of our guests and staff and our communities have and will always been our primary priority at Rancho Madroño. We want to provide honest and open communications with our guests during this challenging time. As the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, we feel it is prudent to provide you, our loyal clients, with an update of our approach to health and safety for our staff and our guests.
We are carefully and thoughtfully monitoring the situation and its impact on travel. We are getting our information to make the most prudent decisions for our business and clients from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), the WHO (World Health Organization) and the Texas Governor’s office. We will continue to educate ourselves as new information becomes available.
While we have always taken pride in providing sparkling clean accommodations, know that we are extra diligent with hygiene and the sanitation of the lodges, common areas, and equipment used in activities at the ranch. Our cleaning staff have expanded their protocols and implemented additional measures using Sporicidin. Sporicidin Brand Disinfectant Solution is a EPA registered intermediate level disinfectant that is with a broad spectrum kill which cleans, disinfects, deodorizes. We have employed this hospital-grade cleaner in our cleaning protocols that has a continuous residual activity up to 6 months. Compatible with plastics, wood, glass, and metals, alcohol-free Sporicidin Disinfectant also has ratings in the lowest EPA toxicity category and has the most neutral pH of any phenolic based disinfectant. In addition, all staff members are subject to health checks daily before reporting to work to check for symptoms of cold and flu.
Wearing Face Masks
We encourage you to enjoy the outdoor spaces at the ranch. Should you come into contact with other guests or our staff, please wear a mask or face covering for everyone’s safety. Our staff will wear masks while engaging with guests or while working with others.
Come and enjoy the outdoors! Hill Country is a wonderful place to exercise and enjoy. While it is not necessary to wear a mask outdoors or in the lodges, have a mask handy and put it on when in the company of our staff or other guests not in your party.
Social Distancing
Our Rancho Madroño staff has been practicing physical distancing of no more than 6 feet and other best practices to combat the spread of this virus. Our staff has also been following appropriate CDC protocols at home as well to isolate themselves from social interactions that could facilitate the spread of this virus. As an additional precaution, in order to protect our community and guests, we are postponing all guided hunts during turkey season but still offering non-guided Rio Grande Turkey hunts. We continue to offer lodging, however, food is available as a drop-off service only thereby limiting guest interaction with staff and maintaining required physical distancing requirements.
We encourage you to follow the CDC guidelines to keep you and your loved ones safe during this difficult time. Follow this link for current CDC recommendations.
The Texas Hill Country, with its wide-open spaces and fresh air, offers a respite from the stress of these times. We hope you will be able to join us this season and continue to pray for the health and well-being of our clients and communities across the USA.
